Hey Siri, Create Lead in Salesforce...
Ever wanted to create a record in Salesforce by just talking to your phone? It's now possible with "Siri Shortcuts" on iOS12!
By combining Siri Shortcuts with a "ZAP" from Zapier.com, we can now create a lead in Salesforce by using voice commands - welcome to SiriForce ;)

First things first, you'll need iOS12 so update your iPhone if you haven't got it yet.
Then download the Shortcuts app from the App Store.
You'll then open it up and hit Create Shortcut.
Your Shortcut will be a mixture of Text, Speak Text, Dictate Text, and Set Variable scripts.
You will then want to create a webhook in Zapier to push your variables to.
Once you have set up your webhook, you'll get a URL from Zapier which can be used as a URL element.
And here's the critical part: that URL element will then be used with the Get Contents of URL element to push the data to Zapier.

Zapier has an awesome integration with Salesforce - we use it for numerous client projects and tasks.
You'll need to set up your connection to Salesforce and then use the Create Lead action.
Salesforce Leads require a Last Name and Company Name, but we're also sending it a First Name and Email Address.
The Email Address is a tricky one when using Dictate Speech due to people saying "at" and "dot" etc. But there are ways to convert them to symbols with Shortcuts!
And there we have it - a Lead created in Salesforce without even having to lift a finger.
This is going to be super handy when you get a call from a prospective client while driving - just ask them their name, email address and company and once you hang up, tell Siri to do the rest!
