Job description

Liquid is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to join our progressive and innovative agency and help lead our web/digital projects. Liquid specialise in creating bespoke online solutions for the property sector.

Your primary role will be implementing websites as per supplied designs by our in-house designers. In addition to websites, you will also be developing for a range of digital services & products such as email marketing templates, mobile & tablet web apps, and interactive touchscreens.

Here's what we are looking for…

Job role

  • Development and improvement of our in-house web apps and systems, which run on Laravel and Vue.js, and integrate with REST APIs for Salesforce CRM and Social Media integration.
  • Backend development of websites, powered by Craft CMS or Wordpress.
  • Assist in the management of our LAMP server infrastructure which runs on Amazon's AWS (EC2, RDS), and configuration of Heroku environments.
  • Implementing visual and interactive elements that users engage with in a web application.
  • Creating responsive HTML templates from supplied artworks.
  • Excellent documentation, organisational and communication skills.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Assure that all user input is validated.
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Develop, test and deploy digital campaigns.
  • Answering customer support tickets.
  • Responsibility for your work. Deliver your allocated section of the project on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that a usable and visually stunning site is delivered.
  • Staying on top of industry trends and content management systems.
  • Reliability and responsibility for allocated tasks
  • Liaising with our Project Manager, Web Designer and Developers to ensure the application logic and integration work is complete and functional.

Skills & experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • OO/MVC coding in PHP frameworks, specifically Laravel
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux, MySQL, Apache (LAMP)
  • Demonstrated experience architecting, developing and managing websites using PHP-based CMSs such as Craft CMS and Wordpress
  • HTML5/CSS/JS: ability to slice designs and implement Javascript frameworks (eg. REACT, VUE.js)
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party API's (REST)
  • Be a GIT, Composer, NPM, GULP gun
  • Experience with Amazon EC2 infrastructure
  • Testing the website and identifying any technical problems.
  • Expert implementation of core front-end and back-end web technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap etc.
  • Implementing visual and interactive elements that users engage with in a web application.
  • Implement Responsive design and User Experience.
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
