Virtual Reality is coming to Australia's largest property portal, RealEstate.com.au
Soon VR experience will not only be available for gamers and wanderers, as realestate VR will allow Australian property seekers to explore their desired residence through a virtual reality property app.
Available soon to Android mobile devices, a new and exciting way to discover and explore property will allow people access through the comfort of their own couch. As realestate.com.au continues to invest in and trial new technology, a game-changer is present for real estate agents as it provides them with a platform to showcase their property in an innovative way.
So what does this mean for property?
Nigel Dalton, Chief Information Officer, at REA Group, commented:
As technology continues to evolve, we know that consumers are wanting to try new and innovative products that push the boundaries. While virtual reality is not a new innovation and we’ve been trialling and testing its functionality for some time now, we’re excited to be soon offering a scalable product for Australians to explore. All you need to do is look at the runaway success of the Pokemon Go app to realise how in demand new technology is.
Dalton is confident that augmented reality and virtual reality will become increasingly useful tools for property seekers when looking for their next home.
It's not only RealEstate.com.au that is becoming virtual
The team at realestate.com.au are not the only ones who are confident about changing the world of selling property.
Co-founder and CEO of Start VR, Kain Tietzel has created a very similar experience for potential buyers of property. He states:
There are only a small handful of comparable experiences like it in the world. We see the potential to disrupt the way off-plan real estate is being sold.
In today's market, it's important for agents and developers to provide a more personal experience to buyers.
Realestate VR by realestate.com.au will be available in the coming months for download from Android app stores, including Google Daydream and Oculus for Samsung Gear VR.
